Formation of a regional marketing strategy is the most important component of forming a program of socio-economic development of the region as a whole. With the help of a marketing strategy, it is possible to change and increase the level of competitiveness, as well as the level of socio-economic potential. It can be argued that such a component of the development program as strategic planning solves the problems of setting the main goals and objectives for the region and the related areas of activity for achieving these goals, and the marketing strategy is responsible for the tools with which it is possible to achieve the intended goals. In other words, a regional marketing strategy is necessary in order to “promote” the region and develop it, to determine by means of which the desired result can be achieved.
