The article is devoted to relevance of an appearance of the Vologda region higher educational institutions in the new markets of educational services. A preliminary study of the market and the development of effective marketing strategy, taking into account a correction of a commodity, price, marketing and communication policy, will provide an achievement of the goal. The importance must be given to the advertising compaign and distribution of positive information through the graduates of higher education institution living in the region and holding high positions with whom it is necessary to sign mutually advantageous contracts about cooperation.
