Marking of resistance gene Or5 to broomrape race E of Orobanche cumana wallr. in sunflower lines of VNIIMK’S breeding

In order to mark the resistance gene Or5 to broomrape race E in sunflower material of VNIIMK’s breeding by molecular and genetic markers, the linkage of this gene to three known SSR and SCAR loci was analyzed. Two DNA loci of RTS05 and ORS1036 are linked to this gene by recombination frequency of 0.10±0.04 and 0.12±0.04, respectively. The RTS40 locus was inherited independently with resistance gene to broomrape race E. The DNA loci of RTS05 and ORS1036 can be further used for marking of resistance gene to broomrape race E in transfer programs of selective valuable traits among sunflower lines.
