Marxism-Leninism and socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era

One of the epochal phenomena of our time, requiring philosophical understanding, is the fantastic rise of China at the beginning of the 21st century. According to the majority of Chinese, domestic and Western sinologists, the prosperity of modern China is associated with the choice of the socialist path of “communist development” (K. Marx). The research task of the study is to reveal the ideological sources and conceptual content of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. We believe that the advantages of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era are based on the fruitfulness of sinicized and modernized Marxism. Our discourse is focused on the victorious heuristic mission of Marxism-Leninism in China. Marxism-Leninism won victory in China because, firstly, it is synchronized with Chinese culture and Chinese reality, and secondly, it constantly enriches itself, adequately responding to new practical requirements and new challenges of the time. We characterize socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era as an outstanding example of creative practical application of the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism combined with the humanistic ideas of traditional Chinese culture. In our opinion, the concept of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era is a search for new paths of formation-civilizational development that are different from both Western and Soviet models of socialism, and from both neoliberal and neoconservative forms of social evolution. Modern China is paving its own cosmic path in the Universe of Man. The article is based on a reflexive analysis of the works by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Xi Jinping, as well as on the materials of the 19th and 20th Congresses of the Communist Party of China.
