In this article the author explores the problem of the mask (Napoleon, Germann - "Queen of spades", Pirogov - "Nevskiy prospect", Kovalev - "Nose", Poprischin - "Madman's notes"), which form a special psychotype of "petersburg's period" hero in Dostoevskiy's "Notes from the underground".
