The mass as the others

The article considers the prevailing interpretation of the concept "mass" as a base for the concept of "mass culture". Proposed to the author's version of the understanding of the term "mass", which is formulated on the basis of analysis of "reflection" of the masses themselves (discussion online communities, affecting the mass-sensitive). The author argues that understanding the "mass" as "others" adequate modern social and cultural situation.
