Mass repressions: concept and signs

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses issues related to the concept and signs of mass repression. Based on the analysis of educational, scientific literature, regulatory sources, conclusions are drawn that in the modern doctrine there is no concept of mass repression that would meet strict scientific requirements (for example, correspondence of a concept to a term and a term to a concept, etc.). For the most part, the cited terms of mass repressions are not supported by definitions and their signs, but if they are cited, they are associated with a specific historical period, narrowed down to political repressions, genocide, and other phenomena. The use of the term of mass repressions in isolation from its “essence” (main property), the signs of this phenomenon, and, accordingly, the definition, leads to the fact that the already complete “confusion” in this issue becomes qualitatively even more difficult to overcome. As a result, the author gives his own definition of mass repression, identifies the signs, the main forms of expression of mass repression.
