The article brings to light the characteristics of private preschool institutions which do not have a license for educational activity. It also reveals the content and the ways to develop professional competence of those institutions' heads. The article justifies the efficiency of the use of master class in the professional community, identifies the main stages of implementation of the technology for the development of the heads' professional competence based on master classes.
