Paper considers the numerical model of the locked volume of gear pump. That model gave us research of influence of geometry of grooves on pressure ripples in locked volume. The profile of grooves provided decrease of pressure pulsations in locked volume. It was designed method of monitoring work of grooves in gear pump.
