A mathematical model for predicting the residual resource of isolation based on the operating parameters

The article is devoted to the study of mathematical models that allow evaluating and predicting the residual life as insulation as modern and newly designed materials. The considered method bases on the Kuchinsky model for estimating the residual resource of insulation by the level of partial discharges. A refined mathematical model that allows determining the residual life of the insulation only on the basis of 3 measurements of the partial discharges intensity and the operating conditions of the insulation between experiments was proposed. The possibility of using the method for self-healing materials was shown.
