The paper presents the results of research aimed at increasing the reliability of an asynchronous electric drive, due to the timely determination of broken rods of a short-circuited rotor at the very beginning of damage development, which allows preventing the complete failure of an asynchronous electric motor, since long-term operation with broken rods can lead to them touching the windings and the magnetic circuit of the stator. A mathematical model of an asynchronous electric motor is proposed, which allows simulating the breakage of the rods of the short-circuited rotor winding in any quantity, as well as methods for determining the breakage of the rods of the short-circuited rotor winding of an asynchronous electric motor without disassembling in real time based on measurements of the phase currents of the stator and the supply voltage in the operating mode, without its decommissioning. Using the proposed mathematical model, the operation of the developed methods for determining the breakage of the rods of the short-circuited rotor winding of an asynchronous electric motor is simulated and the efficiency of their application is confirmed.
