Mathematical development as an important area of development of preschool children

The article is devoted to the importance of mathematical development of preschool children as an integral component of their overall intellectual growth. Modern approaches to teaching mathematics in kindergartens are considered, recent achievements and publications in this field are analyzed. The main attention is paid to the necessity of individualization of the educational process and integration of mathematical concepts into children's daily activities. Specific examples of the realization of these principles are given, as well as the results of experimental studies confirming the effectiveness of the proposed methods. The conclusion discusses the prospects for further development of mathematics education in preschool institutions.
