The article discusses the material and technical condition of one of the old- est health and mineral facilities in Transbaikalia - the Turkinsk Mineral Springs - in the second half of the 19th to early 20th century. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the introduction of archival records from the Republic of Buryatia State Archive fund F-183, “Office of the Turkinsk Civil Hospital and Mineral Springs”, into scholarly circulation. The article provides information on the resort's economic support, labor remuneration, and staffing, as well as valuable details about the hospital's property assets and the monetary value of its real estate. Additionally, the study highlights the specifics of the dual administrative subordination of the Turkinsk Mineral Springs and its impact on the economic activities of the facilities until their transfer to the Transbaikal Regional Administration. The process of repair and construction work at the springs in the late 19th to early 20th century is also covered. The role of Dr. V. M. Muratov in enhancing the resort's potential and improving the appearance of the Turkinsk Mineral Springs is emphasized.
