Material conditions of intelligentsia of Tuva in the conditions of the transformation of the Russian society

The article considers material conditions of intelligentsia in the Republic of Tuva during the years of radical changes in the life of the Russian society. The causes and factors of the ongoing shifts are studied out. The structure of the material conditions is analyzed. The role of monetary and other incomes, their amount and its comparison with living standards are identified. The amount of salary in various categories of intelligentsia is shown taking into consideration sector of economy, places of residence, gender differentiation and qualification level. The major trends of the changes in income of intelligentsia are traced. The attention is paid to retarding of its increase from the amount of salary in the other regions of the Siberian Federal District, to the larger number of the poor part of intelligentsia.
