The study is devoted to the media activity of the accounts of political parties the United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia and the Just Russia on the social networks Facebook, Vkontakte and the Telegram messenger. The analysis methodology is based on combining the methods of quantitative analysis of media activity of accounts using the Popsters service and a qualitative political and psychological analysis of the content of posts and the response activity of subscribers for December 2020. The choice of the time period is determined by the need to analyze the median media activity of accounts, without reference to significant social and political events that objectively accelerate and activate online communication (high-profile events, electoral campaigns). The author comes to the following conclusions. First, media activity on online social networks implies an interactive relationship between the producer and consumers of information. The studied accounts do not make full use of this potential of communication. Second, parties make little use of opportunities to attract attention, mobilize, and expand the number of community members - the potential electorate. Instead, the activity of groups is supported by technological accounts - bots, fake users, through which the number of subscribers, rather than the quality of media activity, increases.
