The innovative development of professional educational organizations presupposes a constant search for new pedagogical conditions to improve the training of effective and successful specialists. One of these conditions is the active development of the media environment. The article examines the role and importance of the media environment in the promotion and popularization of entrepreneurial activity among students. The experience of the Chelyabinsk State College of the Food Industry and Trade in promoting the ideas of entrepreneurship among the youth is presented. The experience of the formation of media resources on the subject of entrepreneurship is shown. A detailed analysis of the results obtained on the basis of the use of the media resource as a condition for the popularization of entrepreneurial activity is given. The article formulates possible ways to solve the problems of popularizing entrepreneurship in the media environment. The experience of creating virtual professional communities in a mass media resource, including the popular among young people social network VKontakte, is shown.
