The medicine as a phenomenon of contemporary culture

The priority of the natural - science component of medical experience leads to a weakening of the value component of medicine and to the relevance of understanding of medical phenomena in the system of cultural meanings. The problem of the medicalization of modern society by virtue of its general cultural significance can be solved only in a philosophical discourse, as only philosophy as reflection on a universal is capable to approach the grounds of modern social and cultural issues. The phenomenon of modern medicine included in the philosophical context, is ontologically constitutive for the whole of modern culture and the future of mankind as a whole.
