Medical and social aspects of therapy of alcohol and drug dependence under penitentiary conditions

In this article we describe basic medical and social aspects of prescribe obligatory treatment of alcoholism and narcotism in conditions of penitentiary institutions. The article revues theoretical and practical questions of treatment for alcoholism and narcotism of convicts depending on remission quality, social factors, keeping regime. We reflect the changing of existence practice of prescription, prolonging or stopping of obligatory treatment for alcoholism and narcotism based on Criminal Code (article 18, part 3).
