The presented research is focused on the development of normative-legal regulation of the rights of indigenous minorities to medical and sanitary services as a factor of state provision of their sustainable development in the mid-20s of the ХХ c. - 10s of the XIX century. Formation of health care system, its main tasks and functions, fixation of guarantees of its realization in a number of spheres of health care of indigenous minorities are examined. The legal aspects of indigenous minorities' health care in the conditions of modern Russia are investigated. International law documents and domestic legislation in the field of providing aboriginal peoples of the Arctic countries and the indigenous populations of the Russian Far East with medical care and addressing demographic policy issues were analyzed in a comparative manner. The article reveals to what extent the existing system of medical care for indigenous minorities of the Russian Far East and traditional ethnic groups of the Western states complies with the domestic legislation in the sphere of the right to medical care.
