Medico-demographic situation in Russia, Republic of Karelia and Finland

The article presents the outcomes of a study of the medico-demographic situation in Russia, Republic of Karelia, and Finland. There are analysed the socio-economic factors affecting life expectancy, mortality rates and health status of the population in these territories. Priorities of the social policy are laid down in the article.
