This article is devoted to the study of legislative and departmental normative legal regulation of issues related to the conduct of various kinds of (procedural) checks of reports of committed suicides received by the internal affairs bodies for their timely and qualitative clarification (certification). On the basis of a deep scientific understanding of the experience gained in this issue of the operational activities of the internal affairs bodies, the author makes interesting proposals aimed at strengthening the effectiveness and legality of the relevant law enforcement practice.
