Medico-social aspects of palliative care in dementia

Palliative care in dementia can be viewed as a spectrum, at one end of which is a high quality concentrated personal help in dementia, and the other specialized palliative care (including in-depth knowledge and skills, e.g. in pain management), which is required in the final stages of dementia. This article discusses the issues of palliative care in dementia with health and social aspect.
