Objective. The function of the right ventricle (RV) in patients with tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) largely determines the immediate and long-term results of surgical correction of the defect. The aim of this study was to evaluate the mechanical function of RV by analyzing the endocardium movement velocity in infants with ToF. Methods. The study involved 25 ToF patients 3.9±3 months old and 20 healthy children as the comparison group. The vector analysis used allowed for evaluating longitudinal strain (S) and strain rate (SR) of the right ventricle. Results.
