The mechanism for implementing inter-municipal cooperation projects

The article discusses the features of the implementation of inter-municipal cooperation mechanisms, made a conclusion about the preferred development of inter-municipal cooperation in the framework of individual projects, since it is the projects that most effectively contribute to the achievement of private goals relating to issues of local importance. The main stages of the implementation of inter-municipal cooperation projects are presented, the necessity of assessing the initial conditions for the development of territories to select specific areas of interaction between them is substantiated. Based on the choice of areas of cooperation of the territories, a specific project of inter-municipal cooperation is being developed. Local government agreements should be reached on the form of cooperation, resources, management and coordination. The necessity of managing inter-municipal cooperation project in terms of creating benefits for local residents is shown.
