Mechanisms of violation of economic security: analysis from the point of view of the threshold approach

The article examines the dynamics of indicators characterizing the level of economic security of Russia under the influence of successive macroshocks, which form a situation of political-economic turbulence. To assess the level of economic security, a threshold approach was used; its shortcomings have been identified, which manifest themselves precisely in conditions of high volatility of indicators characterizing the state of the economic system. This is typical for a turbulent economy. To overcome the identified imperfections of the threshold approach, it is proposed to supplement it with the construction of phase trajectories of the economy. This tool allows you to more quickly identify signs of a violation of the stability of the system, which can lead to a failure to ensure its economic security.
