The mechanisms for ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the EAEU countries in the conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are considered. The impact of coronavirus infection COVID-19 on the state of small and medium-sized businesses in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan has been analyzed. Describes the restrictive measures introduced in these countries in the first months of the pandemic. The dynamics of changes in the number of registered individual entrepreneurs in various sectors of the economy in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2019 to 2020 is characterized. Additional measures are proposed to address key problems faced by entrepreneurs after the pandemic.
