Mechanisms of civic engagement

The article is devoted to the problem of the civic activity implementation and to the study of its mechanisms. In contemporary Russia the quality of civic participation is seriously changing. New initiatives of citizens are forming around specific problems, uniting its supporters and people with an active position who immediately (and this is the most important aspect) offer concrete solutions of the problem. One can find a lot of examples of the successful influence of the civil initiatives on the concrete decision-making and actions. Revitalization of the NGO’s duty, rise of the activity of civic movements, development of the Internet technology and the government’s initiatives that are oriented on the «third sector» have a great effect. As a result new mechanisms of the civic participation widen the frames of the influence of the citizen’s initiatives, especially when the cooperation is based on the Internet-communication.
