Mechanisms for the protection of medical confidentiality

The article considers topical issues on application of mechanisms of medical (doctor's) confidentiality protection under the legislation of the Russian Federation. It covers the problem aspects of the need for a clear definition of medical confidentiality according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, the legal nature of this phenomenon, the correlation with the concept of "medical confidentiality". It's very important to protect doctor's (or medical) confidentiality when providing medical services. In the theory of civil law there is scientific debate about the correlation between the concepts of "doctor's confidentiality" and "medical confidentiality". In practice, these terms are used interchangeably which raises certain questions.
