The article considers the effect of mechanical activation of the herbal substances of Potentilla fruticosa and Arctostaphylos uva-ursi shoots on extraction of bioactive substances. As a result of research, mechanically activated substances can be considered as a new product, since it is characterized by signs of novelty - new properties and a change in composition. Each type of herbal substances should be separately studied for the effect of mechanical activation on the changes in composition of the products obtained.
