Late Pleistocene and Holocene small mammals from localities of Schuger river (Subpolar Urals)

Results of investigating two Ñ14 dated karst-type localities situated at Schuger river are presented. Three different faunal assemblages from three succeeding phases are recognized. A moderate cryophilous Alleröd fauna followed by atypically «mild» community with considerable share of forest species. Subfossil micromammalian assemblage of Subatlantic together with forest species comprises also tundra species. Significant originality of fauna history from studied localities in comparison with other communities in the north of Eastern Europe and also compared with environmental changes is shown.
