Memoirs of the Siberian orthodox clergy of the XIX century and the regional Siberian literature

The article deals with the question of possible rapprochement of church and secular literatures as two directions of the development of Russian literature (the material of the investigation is the memoirs of the Siberian orthodox clergy and the regional Siberian literature of the XIX century). The generality is found out in genre system, features of a plot, typical combination artistic and scientific features, perception of space of Siberia as dichotomic that gives the grounds to consider church memoirs as an integral part of local literary process. But it is especially underlined that compositions of clergy don't lose the communication with traditions of the Old Russian church literature, first of all hagiographies and journeys.
