Quality management in the university management system: a point-rating approach

The article provides an overview of the point-rating approach to assessing the quality of scientific and educational activities of modern higher education institutions. Based on the data of the “Rating of the best universities in Russia 2022” according to Forbes Russia Education, it is shown that in Russian higher education, quality management in the management of universities is either not used or is not used enough. In addition, Russia has not developed the use of various point-rating concepts to assess the quality of scientific and educational activities of universities. Using the example of the mentioned rating, it is shown that the existing gaps in assessment can be supplemented by improving the methodology and carefully selecting criteria that include various point-rating assessments of the quality of scientific and educational activities of Russian higher educational institutions. Recommendations are given on the type and type of criteria that should include university quality ratings.
