Military families support measures in Krasnoyarsk region, 1941-1945

The article considers the problems of organization of military families’ material support in Krasnoyarsk region during the great Patriotic war. The purpose of the study is to examine the social policy of the state towards mili-tary families in Krasnoyarsk region in 1941-1945. The main objective is to obtain a comprehensive view on the state measures aimed at supporting family members of military men, designed to mobilize and assess their effec-tiveness. The Main research method is the principle of historicism. In chronological order the legislation and its practical implementation are con-sidered on the example of Krasnoyarsk region. The order of assignment and payment of allowances to families of military men, other socio-economic measures of material support of military families, the work of the organs of Soviet power, the local party organizations and the Department of social welfare to assist the families of military personnel are shown. For example, representatives of the regional Committee of the CPSU (b), the Executive Committee of Regional Council of people's deputies, the regional Department of social welfare and asset wives was 33 conducted 125 surveys at home families mobilized. The survey revealed 1 307 families in need, who were granted one-time cash assistance amounting to 70 222 rubles, renovated apartments to 675, etc. in addition, it was found out that the total amount of issued allowances to families of servicemen in Krasnoyarsk region on 1 January 1942 was 32 415 000 rubles. However, the implementation of measures for social support of population was accompanied by such prob-lems as delay in giving benefits, shortcomings and mistakes on the part of employees of departments of social protection on the territory. Conclusion: on the one hand it should be noted the positive moment in the state's desire to support the families of red army soldiers in a difficult war time. On the other hand, in the given circumstances, the implementation of measures of social support in practice were not always of high-quality and timely.
