Support measures for involving cultural heritage objects into the regional economy as a factor of ensuring sustainable development of regional systems

The article examines the relevance of sustainable development of regional systems, the connection among the sustainable development goals developed at the UN summit, documents adopted at the state level and regional policy. Sustainable development goals in Russia are integrated into national projects and other strategic documents. Based on national projects, passports for regional projects have been developed, goals and indicators have been established for each of them. The tools for implementing activities at the regional level are important to ensure the effective implementation of goals defined at the federal level. The article presents a model of sustainable development of the regional system. This model answers the question: how to develop the strengths of the region and strengthen the weaknesses through the prism considering the interests of the main stakeholders and the goals of long-term sustainable growth. The implementation of the model is shown using the example of the “My Business” center in the Kaliningrad region. A special support measure for the involvement of cultural heritage sites in the economy of the Kaliningrad region has a number of multiplier and synergistic effects and contributes to the achievement of sustainable development goals at both the regional and federal levels.
