Local councils in the post-war years (organizational and legal context)

Бесплатный доступ

After the end of the Great Patriotic War, local authorities in the person of local Councils of Working People's Deputies began to fully restore their activities in the Soviet state. The article identifies the main trends in the legal regulation of local Soviets in the period 1945-1953. It is indicated, in particular, that local Soviets during the period under review acted according to the previous, that is, pre-war legal framework. Very few special acts on local Soviets were adopted in the union republics, and in the RSFSR only one law was adopted - an election law (1947). The author's assessments of these and other decisions of the legislative branch of the Soviet state are given.
