The article examines the threats to the national security of Russia, reflected in the new National Security Strategy of 2021, and concludes about their predominantly criminal nature - from intelligence activities, extremism and terrorism to corruption and “color revolutions”. This made it possible to substantiate the position of an important place for crime prevention in general in the system of measures to ensure national security, where measures of victimological prevention are an integral part. Based on the analysis of the content of threats to national security, the authors substantiate the special importance of carrying out preventive work in the youth environment, where victimological prevention is the most humane and effective form of combating crime. The article provides data reflecting the problems in the juvenile delinquency prevention system, primarily in the upbringing system of the younger generation, which is linked to the need for more effective counteraction to the negative impact on young people in the information sphere and attempts to intensify their participation in extremist protest actions. As one of their real areas of counteraction to this activity, it is proposed to use law students to prepare and conduct measures for victimological prevention and legal education among schoolchildren, which not only reduces their vulnerability to negative processing in the information environment, but also contributes to increasing legal awareness and victimological training themselves. students. Provides data on the content and positive results of such activities from the standpoint of one of the universities in the Kirov region.
