It is noted that the system of measures for the prevention of recidivism of convicts without isolation from society consists of general social and special criminological prevention measures. The author considers special criminological measures for the prevention of recidivism applied by the penitentiary inspectorate, as well as general social prevention measures implemented by state authorities at various levels and their subordinate institutions of social orientation, public organizations, and civil society institutions. A distinctive feature of general social measures is that they are aimed at providing social assistance to various categories of the population in difficult situations, as well as providing such persons with social assistance and support in solving various social issues. It has been established that the measures implemented by the executive probation, as well as the probation itself, are based on its tasks, goals, functions, principles, and legal regulations.
