On placement of a zero word-building suffix in Russian morphology

The investigation is carried out in the field of semantic potential of word-building categories and means of their realization in the Russian language. A zero word-building suffix is viewed as a component of a paradigm and a latent marker of word-building categories for classes of nouns. Stylistic and expressive potentials of an ulterior morpheme are explained in samples of poetic texts and spoken language.
