The spot of university in the global educational environment: are transformations of its classical «idea» possible?

The author of the article argues his opinion regarding «the Idea of a university», inseparably linked withphilosophical doctrine of the truth, the concept of which can differ at different historical-philosophical phase.The reason for the links is that «Idea of a university» includes the concepts of the truth and knowledge. Attention is drawn to the changes in these concepts, i.e. changes that classical and non-classical philosophies have undergone.
