The use of metaphor in fiction as a key to learning the national image

Semantic innovation underlies both the metaphor which is related to the theory of tropes and the narrative which belongs to literary genres. The image of the homeland is reflected in the metaphors which show the real picture of national self-consciousness and contain traditional features of national mentality and new social transformations. The understanding of the function of metaphor in the narrative may undergo analysis, changes and be determined by the consciousness of people according to the age they live in.
