Metaphors of learning and the rhetoric of educational broshure text

The aim of this article is to define the place of the metaphors of learning in contemporary discourse practices. A new kind of metaphor – the knowledge promotion metaphor – is identified. The role of this kind of metaphor in the text of an education promotional brochure is described.
