Metadisciplinarity as the result of teaching: historical aspect

Problem and purpose. The analysis of various approaches of domestic and foreign scientists to the concept of “meta-disciplinarity” during the whole period of pedagogical science existence as well as science on a whole has been carried out in the article. The conclusion has been made about the diversity of approaches to understanding meta-disciplinarity today. In the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education (FSES BGE) one of the main requirements to the results of teaching is their meta-disciplinarity. However, the educational process nowadays is not sufficiently focused on the implementation of meta-subject approach to teaching. The purpose of this article is to identify the historical meanings of metadisciplinarity and to determine the foundations for constructing the teaching process from this point of view. The methodology of the research consists in a comprehensive analysis of normative documents in the sphere of General education, research works by foreign and domestic scientists in the field under consideration, generalization of approaches to the concept of metadisciplinarity, the analysis of contemporary educational practice within the framework of the problem under consideration. Results. At present there are various approaches to comprehending meta-disciplinarity. The article presents a comparative analysis of various approaches to understanding meta-disciplinarity and concludes that its implementation in teaching requires special organizational - pedagogical conditions. Characteristic features of the present-day educational process which is aimed at implementing meta-disciplinarity as a historically grounded entity are determined in the article. Conclusion. Identification of the historical roots of the meta-disciplinarity concept allows for proving and providing an essential characteristic of the organizational - pedagogical conditions of teaching that are focused on the formation of meta-subject results to be attained by students.
