The development of social society, in particular, the deep roots of the ideas of national independence in our lives, enriches the content of reforms in the educational system. In the educational process, the forms and methods of teaching, tested in practice, are enriched and, if necessary, updated and introduced into practice. Public policy in this regard also implies the formation of a comprehensively harmonious personality, morally trained in the means of continuous education. Its how correctly it is carried out depends in many respects on the effectiveness of the system of primary education.

Primary education is the most important unit of continuing education. As noted in the regulation "on general secondary education in the Republic of Uzbekistan": "primary education is encouraged to ensure the acquisition of the basic qualifications and skills of reading, writing, counting, educational activities, creative thinking, self-control, culture of speech and behavior, personal hygiene and healthy lifestyle" [1]. On this basis, it is necessary to formulate in the primary classes the general and moral skills of students, the initial literacy skills. The process of primary education teaches the formation of the child's potential for logical thinking, mental development, outlook, communicative literacy and selfawareness, physical to be healthy, to be able to feel the beauty of material existence, to enjoy beauty and elegance, to absorb and venerate national customs, to observe them. In this there is also a special role of extracurricular classes in the primary classes. In primary education, extracurricular learning is also of particular importance in terms of teaching students free thinking and encouraging independent reading as they study in the classroom.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev on the initiative of, five important initiatives were put forward to attract attention to young people, to attract the younger generation to culture, art, physical culture and sports, to develop the skills of using information technologies correctly, to promote literacy among young people, to ensure employment of women [2]. In this sense, one of these five important initiatives is the promotion of reading among young people, in which extracurricular reading classes also serve as an important tool in the formation of the culture of reading.

Extracurricular reading lessons are known, in the hearts of the younger generation, to love for good, to awaken feelings of hatred for evil, to recount the content of the text according to the plan or change of personality storytelling, the identification of means of artistic images, the development of their connecting speech by assessing the behavior of the heroes of the work, in short, has great potential in the perfection of the culture of reading.

In the study of the achievements of students, they are evaluated not by all students, but by conducting objective tests on selected students as representatives of this layer. Also, questionnaires were made from school principals, teachers, students and even parents and valuable information was collected on the factors affecting the quality of education in the school, including school resources, attitudes of students towards education, methods of teaching and the extent to which support is being given to the extent to which students acquire knowledge at home.

The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the national program of the Republic of Uzbekistan "on education" and Personnel Training, official documents on the field of public education of our President Sh. Mirziyoyev scientific theoretical teachings of on "Barkomol generation". Works of Oriental thinkers, as well as scientists and pedagogues of Uzbekistan working in the development of pedagogical theory N.Azizkhadjayeva, M.Inamava, A.Musurmonova, I.Saidahmedov, N.Ortikov, uses the scientific ideas of khodjabayev and others as a theoretical basis.

In each class, strong attention should be paid to the differentiation of education, in this regard, special attention should be paid to schools in which the majority of first-graders do not have the skills necessary for a successful start.

And as for the priority tasks before the system of primary education, it is necessary to ensure the use of different texts in the educational process: holistic, non-holistic, complex (plural), different strategies for reading different texts functions such as the use of various forms of development, comprehension reading formation and evaluation (paper and Computer Forms) are laid down.

Emphasis on understanding reading was observed rather than controlling the reading speed. Reading literacy refers to it as an integrated component of functional literacy. Originality is produced in teaching reading mathematical, linguistic, historical, natural-scientific and reference books[3].

Extracurricular reading is organized on the basis of independent activities of students [4]. This is due, on the one hand, to take into account the age characteristics of the students, the scope of their interests, on the other hand, the appropriateness and artistic perfection of the works that are recommended for reading on the theme of the program. Also in the process of extracurricular reading, special attention is paid to speech-building work. Because the various methods used in it are: expressive reading of the text, role-playing reading, selective reading, memorization, making a plan for the content of the work and on this basis re-storytelling, shortening storytelling, changing the personality storytelling, determining the subject of the work, describing the verb of the heroes, etc., are of great importance in the development of oral speech of the reading and studying folk oral creativity (fairy tales, Proverbs, riddles) in extracurricular reading lessons is an important factor in the development of oral speech through the analysis of an artistic work[5].

In all of the above, the reading skills of students are formed, they teach to understand the work read, increase their vocabulary and enrich their vocabulary. Extracurricular reading, in turn, is an interesting, attracting activity, in general enriches the children's circle of knowledge, provides material for comparison. Also, in extracurricular reading lessons, some difficult words are understood, the attention of students is focused on clear, comfortable speech styles, which should be remembered.

Since it is not possible to explain all the difficult words, children are taught to read the interpretation of some words given under the appropriate page. In this way, their dictionary wealth is enriched with new words.
