The results of using different improved techniques of controlled transosseous osteosynthesis (CTO) for treatment of hallux valgus of III severity degree are shown in 24 patients (38 feet) as an example. Restoration of the spatial position of foot bone structures, improvement of foot cosmetic appearance, as well as distribution of load over the support surface of foot anterior part served as evaluation criteria of the treatment performed. The analysis of the results obtained has revealed that the developed complex of tactical and methodological techniques and a differentiated approach to their selection as well allowed the authors to provide CTO high effectiveness for this pathology.
