The method of electroneuromyography for the assessment of the neuromuscular system status and the treatment results in patients with foot deformities

Electroneuromyographic study was performed in 14 patients subjected to deformity correction by the technique of external transosseous osteosynthesis with wires and half-pins in comlex with medicamentous therapy to assess the neuromuscular system status in patients with feet deformities. The study was made before and after surgery and in the long-term periods of treatment. Before surgery all the patients had the signs of myelopathy and axonopathy, and subsequently positive dynamics was noted such as decrease of the markedness of pathologic process and in some cases - its complete stoppage. Thus, the long-term results of the surgical-and-medicamentous treatment demonstrate further recovery of peripheral nerves.
