A method of quantitative determination of wax content in vegetable oils is described. The method is based on determining the maximum of the relation between the intensities of light transmitted and scattered in the sample of the analyzed oil when the sample is cooled at a specified rate (0.3 °C/s) from +120 °С to oil freezing. The proposed method allows one to reduce significantly the duration of the analysis and to increase the accuracy of determination of wax content.
