A project method as a means of competence approach implementation in the training of students -travel managers

The article considers the method of projects as the main means of competence-based approach implementation in a higher school. The formation of students’ professional competence is a topical challenge, both in theory and practice of the modern vocational education. The authors discuss the main features of the project method. The differences of this method with the traditional teaching methods are revealed. The paper also shows historical information about the origin and development of the project method in the vocational education.
