Тhe mathematical model for calculating the operating force of the wire drawing was created. The solution of the problem was achieved by dividing the workpiece material of the wire in the deformation zone on an infinitely small number of finite elements ij, and partition the working area of the die geometry consisting of crimping cone gauge area and the radius of curvature between them, on an infinitely small linear sections. The conditions of continuity at the boundary of the finite element, made up of dependencies required to determine the geometric grid sizes were showed. The model to determine the total drawing effort designed to determine the state of stress at each point of the finite element based on the equations of motion, equations of velocity fields, the incompressibility condition, the intensity of the deformation rate, taking into account the speed factor and visco-plastic properties of the workpiece material was created. Adequacy of the proposed model was showed.
