Methodological aspects of the development of small talk skills in teaching English of business communication

The paper stresses the importance for professionals to have the ability of conducting a small talk in intercultural business communication. The features of such a conversation are highlighted and English language skills as well as communicating techniques that contribute to effective intercultural communication in the context of business interaction are determined. Some EFL methodological issues and a set of activities involved in developing small talk skills in BE class are considered.
