The article reviews the current state and the main approaches and methods to assess the value of the company. The basic approaches to valuation of the company were characterized, their advantages and disad-vantages were revealed. The basic methods of assessment of value in accordance with existing approaches of valuation of the company were outlined. The description of the main approaches to the valuation of the company with highlighting the main issues was overviewed. It was found that the magnitude of valuation depends on the purpose of thedefinition and the nature of the appraiser; that there is no common approach to the company valuation that could be applied to all types of existing businesses; that company valuation is influenced by many factors, the impact of which determines the mode of valuation of the company.
